Hi. If you're here, then you've obviously at least heard of the
Harapat family name. There's aren't many of us nation wide at all.
I can think of less than 20 that I know of personally.
So I, Ted M Harapat, have decided
to register harapat.com harapat.net & harapat.org before someone tries
to register any of them for the purpose of selling email addresses
or subdomains or even the whole domain for an exorbitant amount.
What I will do with these domains is to attempt to make contact with
other Harapat's to sort out our fragmented and undocumented history
up to and before arriving in America.
Over the last couple years, we've come a long way. We've been contacted be a number of Harapat/Harapot/Harapatts who have all had input about the family name and origins. Our pre-American days are still too unknown to even take a stab at a tree even though we've had several Europeans from Austria and the Czech Republic contacting us. Since arriving in America our family history is sketchy but has some known information. Please view our known (believed) Family Tree of
Harapats in America so far. More details to come as we find out
more.
As you can see here, there are a large number of the few Harapats in America that we have no idea where they fit into the family tree. Unfortunately it sounds as though there were at least 2 or 3 schisms in the family where communication was cut off and all information about past and future Harapat's are unknown. If you are one of these people or see that your side is not completely represented on the Family Tree please let us know as we have no practical way of contacting you.
If you just want to say hi or add a few facts to our information,
please add comments to our Harapat
Forum.
